About Sun City

Located 17 miles northwest of Phoenix, Sun City is an unincorporated community catering to adults over 55. The majority of the residents are retired and electric golf carts are a favorite form of transportation in this "Golfer's Paradise." Residents of both Sun City and sun City West often say they are too busy playing to retire. Opened in 1960, Sun City has grown into a lush community-owned desert oasis.
