Located 17 miles northwest of Phoenix, Sun City is an unincorporated community catering to adults over 55. Golf is the big attraction in both Sun City and Sun City West. The ASU Sundome Center for the Performing Arts, in Sun City West, is the university's cultural magnet for theater, music and dance for thousands of Northwest Valley residents. The Sun Cities' Symphony of the West Valley's 95-piece symphony orchestra plays several concerts a year, and the Sundome has regular performances featuring some of America's biggest stars.
